Who are These Guys!? Twins Sporting Split Personality

Twins trade sure-handedness for sweet swings, as slide extends to 4 versus Redhawks.

Updated Saturday May 14, 2016 by Colin Sullivan.

The Twins are a tough squad to peg 5 games into the season. Tight defense and anemic bats were early hallmarks for the now - struggling Twins. Their latest results, however similar in the Win [or rather Loss] column, have shown their play has been turned on its head. Through 7 complete on Sunday, the Twins collected 16 hits, while committing 5 errors, in a losing effort versus the Redhawks.

All 12 Twins in the line-up collected at least one hit and the bats of Tor Bogwald, Blake Hurdle, Jamal Magid and Dan Skolovy each chipped in 2 a piece contributing to a season high 10 runs. C/OF, Nolan Veljacic showed his grit, reaching base 3 different ways: a cheeky off field double to right in the 3rd, a hit by pitch in the 5th and a walk in the 6th. Seth Richardson had a strong outing in relief, striking-out 3 and allowing just a single hit through 2 innings of work as the Twins fall to the Redhawks 11-10. The blow of the loss was eased somewhat by the arrival of a keg following the game, but like the game itself, the Twins could not quite finish.

The Twins will seek to put their game together and end the slide next Saturday against the Cobras.
